rivals.yahoo.com | College football: Ranking the top five recruiting powers

Guess who? Hook 'em!!!

They got the ranking right. I wonder if Mack agrees with the writer when he says, "....Texas can finish in the top ten every single year without needing to put in as much effort as other top programs...".  =)

 1. Texas
While the Longhorns don't get as much publicity as some of the other top teams on this list at times, they have had the biggest edge in recruiting in recent years because of the sheer size and quantity of great players produced in their home state.

With so many players to choose from and such a strong standing as the top power in the state, Texas can finish in the top ten every single year without needing to put in as much effort as other top programs, which is what gives them the edge as the top recruiting program in college football today, especially as USC's stock has dropped and Urban Meyer has left Florida.
