OLine Coaching Update From The Coaches Convention
"Last week we told you that Grimes was expected to take over for Mac Macwhorter as Texas’ new Oline coach and word we received from someone in attendance at the coaches meeting this weekend now confirms that. What we’re hearing is that the wheels are now in motion and it’s only a matter of time before Grimes joins the UT staff. That means Grimes will likely become the highest paid Oline coach in the college game and Christian Westerman will sign on the dotted line for the Horns come February. Win win, imo."
My thoughts:
Securing the commitment of Westerman is certainly a priority, but you know Mack has done his homework and Jeff Grimes is a strong hire. He's got the experience, along with Texas and Boise ties. I hope we can get this last domino in place and start focusing on spring ball. Hook 'em!
