Hold that thought. Looks like all these "sources" are grasping at straws...

Source: No defensive coordinator hiring imminent for Texas; no job offer has been made

"By now, you've read or heard that Teryl Austin will become the new defensive coordinator at Texas, according to multiple Internet reports, including Orangebloods.com."

"Maybe he's the guy. Maybe everything will unfold exactly as reported in the next 24 to 48 hours and Austin, the Florida defensive coordinator the past season, will join the Texas staff."

"But that's not what I'm hearing from at least one source with direct knowledge of Texas' search for Will Muschamp's replacement. Asked about the reports, the source indicated that no hiring was imminent and that coach Mack Brown had not offered the defensive coordinator position to anyone at this point."

As frustrating as it is to wait, keep in mind how important of a hire it is. Although Mack would like to get someone in place asap to shore up the current recruiting class, making the wrong hire could turn the tide the other way. Mack Brown will take his time and make sure he's got the right person. All these other so called "sources" are just in a battle to be the first to get the scoop right. Either way, it's fun to follow all the possibilities, just don't get too emotionally attached to any rumors. I'll post the news as soon as it's confirmed.
